The Sinner Redeemed by J.L. Leslie

5.0

J.L. Leslie gives us another gritty, suspenseful read with the third and final installment of the L.A. Sinners MC series. This has always been a darker MC series, with lots of dirty tricks, traitorous acts, and all out violence going on in the background. Which is right up my alley! Book 3 starts off where Book 2 ended, but no worries if you haven't read the first two books because this can indeed be read as a standalone. Reid is a loyal member of the Sinners, ready to go balls to the wall for his club, and Phoenix is a college student who finds herself in a very dangerous and dark predicament after being kidnapped. What I love most is you can actually feel the moment where these two people, plagued by their attraction to each other while trying to fight temptation, begin to develop actual feelings for each other that are beyond physical attraction and lustful tension. We do get the stereotypical "I need to save her from myself" moments from Reid, but they're not without reason and explanation. But unlike a lot of female characters we see in the more grittier MC tales, Phoenix can certainly handle whatever Reid dishes out...and then some. This girl is baaaaad and I enjoyed every sassy moment she's on the pages. All in all, this is a great wrap-up to an even greater series. I'm sorry to see it end, but I'll be sticking around to find out what epic tale will come next from this author. Definitely 5 star read!
