Crown of Blood by Keary Taylor

Did not finish book.
That's it! I've had enough!

I couldn't finish this book. Which is sad because the first one got off to an awesome start. I couldn't wait to get into Book Two.

The introduction and incorporation of Sevan really messed up this book. It would have been better if Logan just retained all of the feelings and memories of her life as Sevan instead of adding another person in her body. Further, to have her resurrected 8 times leads to more confusion and convoluted nonsense. The dialogue was confusing, and I found myself having to go back and reread parts I already read just to follow who was talking: Sevan or Logan?!

I don't know if Cyrus was truly interested in Logan or only because she was a vessel for his dead wife. I don't read romance novels with love triangles. Not my thing. And that is what this is; a weird, twisted triangle.

It's a pity this book took such a nosedive. After a climatic ending in Book One then starting the train-wreck that is Book Two, I feel like the time I invested in this story and these characters was a monumental waste of time.
