I think this was a good idea that could have been executed better. When you strip away the ridiculous, it is a good story with good characters. My main disappointment was with the ending (the epilogue really). It felt rushed and forced. Another 100 pages of story would have been better for the characters and the story. I think the very end should have been completely changed, but hey...not my story.
