This, while not as wild as the scandalous Gothic whodunnit of book two, continued the trend of being a whole lot of fun. It was also a good wrap-up for the series.

Here we get the Rosings proposal, where Darcy is found in all his misguided, idiot glory, and then his plunging reaction afterward after returning home. He goes through the 7 stages of grief and then what I found to be a realistic journey into change, deciding what kind of man he wants to become.

All the threads of the previous two books (Georgiana, Dy, Fletcher etc.) are followed up on in a satisfying way, and the skullduggery involved in unearthing Wickham in London was everything I hoped. This whole series was just pure fun, and I enjoyed every minute.
