Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber
5.0
This book. My lord.
After reading so much Adult Fantasy this year, I really didn’t think I’d enjoy a YA fantasy as much as I did this!
Jacks is so morally grey it borders on villainy. Evangeline is the perfect balance of innocent and sassy. The twists & turns Stephanie Garber takes us on still has me bamboozled over what’s going on at the end of book one of this series.
The world building was super easy to follow, as was the plot. The snippets of romance were written in a way that isn’t in any way smutty but still left you feeling warm and wanting more.
I cannot recommend this book enough! I’m diving into book two as we speak and can’t wait to see how this all turns out!
