An emotional read, 90% character development and 10% plot.  As a primarily plot-driven reader, I found myself starting to lose interest.  I don't think it was too long, I think I just wanted a bit more plot.  That said, I still highly recommend this book to character-driven readers who love to see the relationship development in detail.  Writing was good, relationship was believable, and characters were relatable.

Be sure to check trigger warnings!  It isn't a dark romance, but many triggering topics are at the forefront.
