The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
5.0
This iconic dystopian story just got hold of me and didn't let go.
While reading this I really had to be proud of the movie adaptation, because it captured everything important. Well, everything except Katniss' dehydration, which was kinda important, but not really good for being pictured on screen...
Anyway, book is a book and as we all know, it's (almost) always better than the movie. The rule applies here too. I loved reading about Katniss' complicated emotions about Peeta and her "telepathic" conversations with Haymitch.
Despite this all, the book felt a bit surreal. I can't explain why... Maybe Suzanne Collins' writing just doesn't suit me or maybe it was the fact that this was my first audiobook. Don't know, but I going to read the second part for sure!
