01/08/24: rereading in preparation for THE ATLAS COMPLEX. okay hello i have finished my reread. so basically, i actually cared less about the characters this time around, focusing more on the plot—which is a slow burn of a thing i cannot lie—and that truly surprised even me. i don't know. i think i'm interested in how atlas' schemes will play out and where dalton's unlocked mind will do, but since it's been over a year since i've read this for the first time, i've noticed more of its flaws. i still love the characters and blake always has banger lines, but something about the way it's constructed had me pausing.

10/31/22: so i simultaneously read the physical copy and listened to the audiobook and it truly heightened my experience but anyway. just like THE ATLAS SIX, these are just vibes but they’re insane, very academic vibes. i was not expecting some of these character dynamics to pop up, mainly re: callum (was not expecting at all to enjoy his povs but i am pleasantly surprised. he’s like a crazy soggy cardboard of a man. he compels me) but they were interesting. the question of where libby rhodes is and the subsequent answer and the others’—well, most of the others—attempts to get her was at both lackluster but also gutting. loved libby’s arc. found reina’s to be interesting. so was callum’s, in a sense. very curious as to where THE ATLAS COMPLEX will take me (and who ends up with who because. yeah. i’m that type of gal.)
