This was absolute dogwater. Not festive enough to be holiday-themed and not scary enough to be horror, somehow all of the stories here are completely forgettable. They try too hard to be literary and in the process miss the mark entirely. You could probably do a search and replace and switch out every mention of Christmas to something else and the stories would mostly remain intact—that’s how much these authors were phoning it in. If it sounds like I hated this book, I absolutely did. Off to jail you go.
