This was a high school read that I remember really liking but didn't remember many of the specifics, except for the ending, of course. Upon this second reading of the book, I kind of see why I didn't retain the majority of the book. It's an interesting, fast read, but honestly nothing really happens until that gut punch of an ending. I liked George and Lennie as much as I remember and disliked the rest of the characters slightly more than I remember. I'm glad I took the time to go back and read this one again as it solidified my opinions on the book that only based on vague memories before.
