the whole setting and the idea were good–i mean, I read the first half in one setting, and then ended the book in a couple of hours, so it was catching. but somehow it lacked.. something. like I said it was interesting but, I don't know, maybe the atmosphere didn't work out well, or it got too messy–there was a moment were I was genuinely confused, and in a bad way I mean, because I didn't understand what was happening, I couldn't understand the great revelation that was getting developed right in front of me.
I liked the characters too, but it reached a point where all of this mysteries and thoughts were getting on my nerves. I just wanted some answers and the way they were delivered it didn't shocked me, it was just like "huh.. so that happened." even when they were, in retrospective, shocking. like the author had quite an imagination, I gotta give her that.
overall the book was fun to read. easy to get through and at least that made it bearable when the rest of the things didn't.
oh, and if I had to simply tell you what's the book about, or the general idea, I would say that it's like that one friend's episode, when phoebe says "they don't know that we know that they know we know", that's it, that's the entire book basically.
such a shame because I feel like if this had more pages or something, maybe it would've been a whole lot better.
