Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik
5.0
If I wasn’t in public, I would be CRYING RIGHT NOW BECAUSE WOW THAT ENDING!!!!! The ending felt so earned, going through this long, arduous journey with Miryem, Wanda, and Irina and the rest, and I am absolutely pleased by it. I’m so satisfied by the ending that I want more!!!
Regardless, this was such a lovely read. My only complaint I have is when the book began to introduce more POVs without an indication of changing characters. Fortunately, each POV had an unique enough voice and I was able to distinguish each one within a sentence or two. I also appreciate Novik’s way of introducing romance without it being hamfisted and/or sudden. It felt like a natural course for these characters. Gosh, I love Miryem and the Staryk king SO SO much.
I am still floored by this ending, and I want to cry happy tears for all of these characters that I now love very much.
