I feel like a bit of a broken record, but I am feeling like shit and wanted to read something a bit more lighthearted and chill and this fit the bill (that rhymed! what fun).
This was not particularly impressive, but it was entertaining and I liked the characters and their relationships and was suitably invested in what happened. I do love some less-serious time travel adjacent shenanigans and historical stuff so yayyy. Definitely not like, an incredible book but exactly the experience I wanted - fast and fun.
