This was my first time reading something by Sylvia Mercedes, and I have to say that I thought “Bride of the Shadow King” was such a fantastically unique read!

The two main characters are Vor, the Shadow King, and Princess Faraine, his human bride to be. They were both likable characters, and I enjoyed both of their POVs.

I thought I knew what this book would be like, but I was so wrong Sylvia Mercedes’ writing style is highly addicting and utterly captivating, and I was hooked from start to finish.

“Bride of the Shadow King” somehow managed to be action packed and fast paced without being too rushed, which is definitely a good thing!

The plot twists had me screaming, and I loved how every time I thought I had things figured out, something else happened that proved me wrong! This was absolutely a 5 star read for me!
