A mystery about a missing boy and how his best friend handled it over 30 years and forced to face it again when returning to his childhood home. This was very slow going and chipped away bit by bit. There was a part about his mom and a sketchy neighbor that was suspicious but then never brought up again so I’m not sure why that was dropped out of the story without explanation. I kept waiting for it and it’s just still hanging out there unanswered. I enjoyed the ending and it seemed like the perfect thing for the character to heal old wounds and make better memories.
