📚 Warm, endearing, "no plot, just vibes", this slice of life follows a series of characters as they discover themselves and give new meaning to their lives through the books recommended by a mysterious librarian. Easy reading with a powerful message 📚

🌟If you liked Before the Coffee Gets Cold, you'll probably love this one too

💕 What I loved:

✍️ The writing. It's simple, fluid and unpretentious. The message of this book is very deep, and yet, it's so easy to read.

This is one of those books where nothing seems to be happening, but at the same time, a lot is going on ✨

🫶 The characters. The author gives us a front seat to watch their lives and conflicts, showing them in a kind light without judgement 💖

Their stories are told in a way that even if you disagree (and I did, sometimes) with the decisions they make or with how they choose to solve a certain problem, you end up rooting for them anyway. As you would do for a friend or a close colleague 🫂

✨ The vibes. Warmth and cozy, it felt peaceful all the time. Even when heavy subjects (life after retiring, changing professional paths, societal double standards for parents, etc) emerged.

🤔 I did not ❤️:

We don't get to know much about the librarian, and the emphasis on her size weirded me out a little, to be honest. I don't think it comes from a negative place and it wasn't said to the character in question or discussed beyond passing thoughts, but still felt off 😑

🎁 Wrapping up, this is a book about human connection, change, and personal growth. It's heartwarming, refreshing, and deep at the same time. Perfect if you're looking for a reflective but cozy reading experience
