i gave vicious 5 stars and i’m just shocked

the characters that i loved so much in the first book are so aggressively one dimensional in this one it was so weird. everything got so repetitive wtf happeneddd??? the new characters i genuinely could not care about at all because they were just as cartoonish. i never kept track of anyone who worked at eon lmao because i didn’t care.

eli’s whole back story?? maybe if that had come a little earlier i would’ve felt a little bad for him but at that point it was just WHOMP WHOMP shit happens doesn’t mean you kill like 50 people.

girl… how am i 70% into this book and there still is no plot? 80% in and things are juuuust now barely happening?? i had a miserable time reading this. up until literally 95% this was going to be 1 star for me, the last couple of chapters got really interesting

but then the doctor dies like immediately??? which is fine i guess but that part of the book was actually so cool because what if there is a “cure” to being an EO? welp. the doctor’s dead two pages later.
