I bought this book thinking it was going to be spooky or gothic ghost stories, to which I was disappointed but then again that was because of my own assumption. The main reason being to finally read A Christmas Carol, which did not disappoint. I've watched two versions of the films every Christmas for as long as I can remember. The story is a classic for a reason!
I enjoyed the story so much and the ending put me in a great mood, same as the films always manage to do. However, the other stories were mostly (in my opinion) a little boring and the ghostly elements were unbelievably fantastical sometimes, more so than I liked. I couldn't bring myself to read the last couple of stories.
