Funny Story by Emily Henry

3.0

“Sometimes you have to push through the discomfort, instead of running.”

I love the main character’s arc as an individual, but as their chemistry, i can’t feel it. love the fact that Daphene is a children's library and their adventure going to new places in the country while understanding each other along the way, but the problem with their ex wasn’t as thrilling as i expected it to be whereas that is the selling point for the book. the ‘daddy issues’ i think this issues make them can’t resonate with each other and i’m happy that they heal through the process. also one of the big things that plague Daphene is her feeling of belonging, the trauma she has with men in her life that always put her as their ‘backburner’

This book making me realize how to love myself, to be comfortable with myself first and to stand for my own before having a relationship and relying on other people.
Enjoyable read but not my fav.
