"So, listen, I hate to tell you this, but reading a steady diet of horror is going to ruin you for other genres. You’ll be reading some fantasy novel, and you’re going to start thinking things like: When is this going to get nasty? I wish one of the characters would just get murdered already. I hope the landscape goes on a violent, bloody rampage. Maybe this beautiful cottage is haunted by a vengeful spirit!"

This book did not help in my quest to start reading the books already on my list instead of adding more. But I have no regrets.
