I mean this in the nicest way possible— this book needed so many more beta readers. There are so many aspects or details that just did not make sense to be added in this story whatsoever.

I read this book because I absolutely loved Binti. This is nothing like Binti. I felt 0 emotional connection with any of these characters. The story is wandering and the romance is dry. Where Binti was powerful and spiritual, Noor is confusing and nonsensical. I read this with my mom and we paused every few pages to comment about how some added detail contributed nothing to the story or just plain didn’t work. By the last chapter, it was every three sentences. I’m baffled we even finished it.
