» PLOT «
After being passed over for a promotion by Othello, Iago sets on a mission to ruin Othello's life.

I went into this book kind of blind, and that was good. I'm not sure if I would've like this book if I had known what the man plot was about. (For some reason, if I know too much about the book before reading, I tend to like it less.)

» READABILITY «
The audiobook make this a great read. It was interesting, fast paced, and exciting.

» CHARACTERS «
Shoutout to the audiobook narrator for Iago (link to the audiobook on YouTube), he really put his all in this character and the book was only better for it. Finally we get a villain character that is actually smart and logical.

At the beginning I admired most of the characters for being really logical and strong-willed, but after awhile, only Iago really stays that way. While the other characters became easily manipulated, some had good reasonings. Overall though, the characters in this were actually smart, unlike Romeo, Juliet, Macbeth, and all the other Shakespeare characters.

Lowkey I was hoping
Desdemona would survive, but at least Cassio does
.

» WRITING «
Out of all of William Shakespeare's works, this was by far the best. It was captivating, intriguing, and interesting. I had a lot of fun trying to predict what would happen, and if Iago would ever get caught/punished.

I was very shocked to like this. After Macbeth, I didn't think I would like another one of William Shakespeare's works.
