I’ll start by saying that I believe in Rachel’s story and truly feel she is a victim of the situation and Anna. I read this with my bookclub and we all agreed that sometimes the story was a bit long winded, but still provided us backstory to understand what happened to Rachel and how to avoid the actions of con artists! We also agreed that it was sometimes hard to relate to Rachel’s lifestyle in NYC, but that it doesn’t take away from her terrible experience. I think this was well written and would recommend to any crime aficionado or memoir reader.
