Gwen and Art Are Not in Love by Lex Croucher

5.0

Gwen and Art Are Not In Love is a ya historical romcom set in a fictionalised medieval England where King Arthur used to rule thousands of years ago (? could be hundreds of years i can't remember).

Our main characters, Gwen and Arthur, have been betrothed since they were kids and it's finally time for them to start taking it seriously - but turns out they're actually both gay and, on top of that, they can't stand each other. Arthur is also a descendent of King Arthur, and his dad is a cultist that believes King Arthur will rise again one day.

This was honestly just such a fun read and it was actually funny! I rarely find books that can actually make me laugh out loud but I found myself laughing on multiple occasions. The 2 romances were both really cute and I cared about them equally. All of the characters were just so fun and dramatic and I just want to read this book again already.

Thank you to Bloomsbury for providing me with an early copy!
