This book! Let me tell you, I lost sleep because of this book. It had me hooked so good that I had to force myself to put it down at 3am so I could get some sleep. The way it ended though! I knew it was going to leave me wanting more being Book 1 of a Trilogy. I'll be beginning Unveiled soon, and I'm excited to see what's in store next. The author was descriptive and had excellent story and character building. This is a dark romance, but it has been one of the sweetest dark romances I have read in a while. That's not a bad thing. I found the style to be refreshing. If you're into dark romance, I highly recommend it.

As always, my heat scale is not based on how well the heat was written. My heat scale is based on the amount/ occurrence, length of scenes, and how filthy/unconventional. This had a higher occurrence of spicy scenes, but they did not drown out the story and plot. The scenes were descriptive and had some length as well. The scenes progressively got more unconventional as some dominance and submissiveness came into play, but I'm not sure I would label it BDSM. If I did, it would be mild.
