Wow. This book came out of nowhere and knocked me off my feet. It's SO GOOD! I read it in one sitting. Silas... he's so strong and resilient and smart. He has been through so much and he still fights, but he also allows Bear in and learns to trust Alphas again. And Bear is so sweet and kind. I love that he loves Silas so much and he's so possessive. He shows restraint constantly as Silas heals and it's so thoughtful. I also love Claire and her wife. They're amazing side characters! The hurt/comfort is wonderful and we got a "who did this to you" almost right off the bat, so that was amazing. I really enjoyed watching Silas learn to let Bear in and I loved seeing their relationship grow. The added conflict of the pack chasing after Silas was also interesting and kept me intrigued. Overall, I didn't expect to love an Omegaverse book this much because I'm still a newbie, but maybe I'm actually an omegaverse girlie?? Or maybe this book is just amazing. Time will tell! All I know is this book is on my immediate re-read list. Emily Rath, you did the thing and it was perfection. 3/5 spice levels.
