The Wrong Heart by Jennifer Hartmann

5.0

“We are not responsible for the choices that others make. It’s human condition to latch onto the whys and what ifs because that gives us power when we feel like we have none. But we’re looking for power in the wrong place,”…”The power is not in the past—it’s in the present. It’s in how we choose to move forward, and how we can mold our grief into something useful. Something beautiful.”

This book took me completely by surprise. I expected a feel good romance and was surprised when it took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. A lot of the time when I read books, I feel like can anticipate what might happen, but there were two major events in the plot that I didn’t see coming at all.

The book is about a woman named Melody whose husband Charlie dies at the beginning of the book by getting hit by a car. Charlie was an organ donor, and Melody reaches out to the man that received his heart. This story is about their journey. Prepare to feel all the emotions when you read this book! ❤️ I really enjoyed both Melody and Parker and felt like their POV’s were written quite well.

Fantastic book!
