Talk about one twisty ride! I didn’t think I would be a fan of the setting, but WOW was I wrong! The characters are all loveable but in their own strange way. My friend Alexia @bookishends on Instagram said she was more for the romantic relationships in here, and I agree with her. I was rooting for everyone to have their happy ending.
The writing style is a bit too choppy for me though - the very short sentences aren’t my favourite (there were a lot of “She opened the light.” It was just too much trying to be “show don’t tell your readers” type style, but it just ruined the flow for me a bit). BUT, that didn’t stop me from being immersed in the story, the characters, and the past that binds them).
The ending is EPIC. I thought it was going to be one of those stories that ends in like 5 pages and that’s it. BUT NO. It was perfect, and it’s why I bumped this rating up from 3.5 to 4 stars.
This book is one wild ride, and when you’re up for a snowy adventure full of lies, deceit, lust, and revenge...well, you now know what book to pick up!
