Theodore The Neighbour's Cat by J.S. Ellis
5.0
J.S Ellis's "Theodore The Neighbour's Cat" is one of the most intriguing and unique plots I've ever come across. Having read the short story "The Neighbour's Cat," I was looking forward to this novel. Theodore is a beautiful tuxedo cat who's a silent observer and knows that his owner, Dean Carter, is a serial killer. While the cat knows that his acts are despicable, Theodore also knows that Dean rescued him.
The two POV's are refreshing and the placement complemented the overall plot. Dean's POV was dark, and it clearly depicted his psyche that was terrifying and oozed serial killer. I was deported to Malta and it was a delight getting to know more about this island country. The story is a slow build-up, and it was a great and satisfying read.
A shout out to J.S Ellis for giving me an ARC of this book. Grab your copy on November 3. This honest review is left voluntarily.
