A Flicker in the Dark by Stacy Willingham

2.0

The story was ok.
The main character was annoying and unlikeable.
The first half of the book could have been condensed.

This book would have been better as a shorter story without MC going on and on about the same thing over and over.
I hate how when most chapters end, the next one begins in the future or the past. Because of that, the ending to the last chapter would be rehashed in past tense later on. The flow of the story was disjointed but not in a good way or even in a way that makes the MC look unreliable. It’s just… bad.

The audio version is awful, if you choose to read this I would skip audio and just read it.

Lastly, there are a lot of holes in the story left unanswered that never made sense.
