I’m grateful that this book exists and that I picked it up when I did. I needed someone to tell me - in super clear language, with numerous examples, and backed with data - that I need to slow the fuck down.

I have acknowledged for a while that I was on the brink of burnout, but this helped me realize just how much I had blown past that brink. In fact, I blew past that brink probably over a year ago at this point.

There were some points that didn’t fully resonate with me, although I imagine they would have earlier on in my personal growth / anti-capitalism journey. There is a lot I’ve already confronted and a couple of things I don’t think I internalized as much as others. Still, there is tremendous value in this short book. I started a list of practical changes I can make in my life to bring more balance and rest into my life, and my copy of the book is tabbed and annotated AF.

I hope this is a turning point for me. And I definitely wish I could get everyone to read this.
