This book has been sitting on my bookshelf for longer than I can remember. I have no idea where I got it, but I have been telling myself to read it for years. I wish it hadn't taken me so long. Beautiful, heart-breaking, at times gut-wrenching, but poetic and cheeky, Maya Angelou makes you laugh and cry and feel every emotion in between. Before this, I had only ever read her poetry, but I will absolutely be reading more of her memoirs!
