New Nigeria County is a hilarious debut novel, flipping the script on black and white relations to expose uncomfortable truths about race, society, culture and identity through wildly entertaining comedy. This novel is only available in audiobook form and it is a full cast performance -it’s like listening to a play. When a white family moves into an affluent Black community, a dispute between neighbors escalates until all of new Nigeria is part of the drama. The script is flipped because the husbands are house husbands, smiling and handsome and obsequious to their wives, the wives are strong, rich, and powerful business women, the European Americans live in the crime ridden neighborhoods and are members of gangs, and  Nat Turner High is the best public school in the state.  This satire is funny and thought provoking. i do wish it was also in print because i would love to read it also.
