my first John Grishman’s book and i’m so satisfied. it’s quite a slow pace since this is the first book in the duology and the writer trying to set the introduction of the firm, and the characters (which a lot, and sometimes i couldn’t keep up with who’s who) since the beginning i already know how insane this firm is, and as the story progress, the scale getting higher and higher.

the last 100 pages are soooo good, i can’t stop. so thrilling, and i felt an emotional roller coaster throughout. I love Tammy and Abby, my girl.

I didn’t like the comment about a woman’s leg that kept being mentioned and felt so repetitive and very male gaze, which made me uncomfortable reading it.

The ending made me want to pick the next book. after reading it my head hurts (in the best way possible.
