A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas
3.0
I honestly thought this was just going to be a bunch of smut. Yes, that may be partly true, but this was also a lot about healing. I never liked Nesta. In fact, I hated her with every fiber of my being. I still don’t like her now and I still think she doesn’t deserve Cassian one bit, but it was such a relief to finally know what was going on in that head of hers. And just because I didn't like the character, doesn't mean I couldn't like the book. Somehow, I was glad that she was able to find her healing no matter how difficult it was for her (and how infuriating she may be).
“Forgiveness is not that easy.”
“Forgiveness is something we also grant ourselves. But if you don’t wish to be forgiven, if you don’t want to stop feeling this way … it won’t happen.”
Apart from Nesta's arc, it was mostly the nostalgia for me. I never thought I missed all the characters this much until I continued on with the series. Here’s to more books on ACOTAR
