Am I really surprised that I had the best time of my life rereading this? Hell no!
I don't know why it took me so long to reread this series, but this is exactly what my soul needed.
Seeing younger Percy and Annabeth again filled me with so much joy. I appreciated a lot of details and foreshadowing even more this time around.

I’ve always had a thing for Greek Mythology, and this book is a dream come true for me.
Why I waited so long to start it? I have no idea.

Rick Riordan made Greek Mythology even more interesting and unique. The story is amazing, fast-paced and really exciting and packed with sarcasm, I spent half of it laughing and giggling.
The writing was simple, and I ended up learning a lot of new stuff about Greek mythology.

“It's funny how humans can wrap their mind around things and fit them into their version of reality.”

The gods, monsters, titans, etc… kept their true nature. Just added with Riordan’s unique flare. Did I mention that it’s modernized? I always imagined how Greek mythology would be like if it existed nowadays, and this just answered my question beautifully. It was truly marvelous how he easily related the ancient Greek mythology to the modern real world.

“I won't go looking for trouble. I usually don't have too.”

And Percy, come on, how can you not love him? He has kick-ass powers and he’s a Demi-god. He’s funny, loyal, brave and quite relatable.
Grover is just too freaking adorable!
Annabeth, ever the wise, responsible one. Can be badass when she wants to.

Can I go to Camp Half-blood now?
