I really wanted to like this book because it takes place in my home state (Texas) and in a city that I spent some very memorable years in (Austin). However, I just found it kind of...boring. It started out strong, but about 70 pages in it just started to feel tedious. It also reads like someone older writing millennials (which it is). And that's not to say that shouldn't or can't be done, but I noticed it and when I looked up the author, I saw that she is in her 60s and it made sense why it didn't quite work. 

All that being said, I think some people might really enjoy this book. It just wasn't my cup of tea.
