Midnight Ruin by Katee Robert
4.0
Eurydice is finally ready to step out of the long shadows cast by the rest of her powerful family. Charon is Hades’ right hand man for many years and has given everything to the lower city, but now he’s ready to take something for himself. He’s more than happy to give Eurydice a special kind of education, but is her heart really free? Orpheus was once the golden boy of the upper city but he’s become the shadow of his former self and is ready to do whatever it takes to get Eurydice back… even if she won’t come alone.
MIDNIGHT RUIN is the sixth installment of the Dark Olympus series and I’ve been enjoying each book as it comes. The world Katee has re-created is phenomenal and make for excellent guilty pleasure reads.
As always, Katee’s characters are vibrant with palpable chemistry. Her plot is tense and intriguing with each book building upon the last in terms of political advances within the Upper and Lower City as the 13 work together (and against each other) within Olympus.
I loved the polyamorous relationship that forms between Eurydice, Orpheus, and Charon. The dom/sub scenes were well written and also really spicy 🥵, per Katee’s usual.
The ending shocked me and left me wanting more. Can’t wait to see what will come with book 7!
