For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten
3.5
I came into the book thinking this was going to be a little red riding hood retelling because "For the Wolf," a woman with a red hooded cloak on the cover, and an FMC named Red... I was disappointed that it was a beauty and the beast retelling.
The story was okay. I was invested enough to keep reading, but I most likely won't be reading the rest of the series. The mystery of what the Wolf was hiding from Red was intriguing, as were Lyra and Fife, though not many of the other side characters.
There were a few times in the book where the author described something, and then a few pages later she'd repeat the same thing written slightly different. The dialogue was kind of flat and the twists weren't that interesting. More like characters were unhinged but not in an interesting way.
