General Description: Lucy's best friend Bridget leaves Toronto to go to Prince Edward Islands to freak out before her wedding. Of course, Lucy goes to comfort her. However, Felix, Bridget's brother, is also there. Lucy and Felix have had a connection every since a one night stand that neither of them realized was happening with the person that Bridget had been telling each of them about respectively. However, while they both feel they are betraying Bridget, that does not stop them. Can they leave their relationship alone to focus on Bridget, or will fixing their relationship have to come first?
The good:
- The book did tie up nicely with a bow which I always appreciate.
- Bridget, in my opinion, is the best character in this book and I wish we got a book focused on her, even if she wasn't perfect.
- The area of PEI was very well described and I felt like I was there.
The loss of 2 stars:
- I did not like Lucy or Felix at all. I feel like they had no respect for Bridget at all and it really turned me off to the book. While this is one bullet point, since I liked neither main character, it feels big enough to lose 2 stars.
Overalll, if you liked Carley's other 2 books, give it a try, but it was a departure from the other two books in terms of tropes and conflicts focused.
