Dove Arising worked really well for me, and I really enjoyed my reading experience. Dove Arising is a YA science fiction featuring space colonies, militia movements, resistance to government, and the moon. The main character Phaet [ pronounced like fate ] was very likable and enjoyable to read for. Because Phaet is a fifteen year old, there are aspects to her character that fit within being fifteen. One of the main tropes was 'he trains her'. Overall, I really enjoyed my reading experience, and I can see myself rereading Dove Arising and continuing the series. I would highly recommend Dove Arising to other readers who enjoy YA Sci-Fi reads.
