I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston

5.0

I was so keen for this when I saw it announced - I've adored everything Casey has written before so I was sure it was going to be a good one. I was intrigued when I realised it was YA instead of Contemporary Romance. I enjoy that all of Caseys books have been vastly different from one another and Shara is no exception.
I enjoyed the mysteries, letters and hints throughout the book. The story build and the small-town world was one I have encountered before but done in an interesting way with the tie-ins of high school social groups affecting the stigma as well as the undercurrent of religion.
And as always, the queer rep is exceptional and I have a terrible habit of falling for Caseys side characters more than the main ones - this time it was Rory and Smith <3
