Maybe Once, Maybe Twice by Alison Rose Greenberg

4.5

I love how this book includes lots of different representation including LGBTQ+ and synesthesia. I also love all of the music references including Fall Out Boy and other pop punk (my middle school self is very happy). It was interesting to see how Maggie had two different lasting loves in her life. This conflict is one that would certainly be difficult to handle. I would have loved to see more from the boys about how they feel knowing both of them made the same pact with Maggie. I found myself quickly on team Asher. If you have read this story, which boy was your favorite? I would like to give a brief moment to appreciate the horse scene in this book, it was absolutely hilarious, you should read this book solely to experience that scene.

This book spice that shouldn’t be skipped because it contributes to the plot

Do look at the trigger warnings for this book as it does cover some heavier topics in-depth
