The Player and the Pixie by Penny Reid, L.H. Cosway
4.0
I may have to come back and give this 5 stars. I REALLY did not expect to enjoy this book that much. The hero was a complete ass in the first book of this series and I truly did not see how he could be redeemed. Well now I love him. I also love Sean and Lucy together. I'm happy that he didn't fundamentally change as a person, but we were allowed to better understand him throughout the story. Lucy and Sean both grew into stronger versions of themselves without having to change who they were. It also helped that he happily called himself snobby and an ass....that allowed it to be endearing. I smiled pretty much the whole time I read this book and was so charmed by Sean. I also liked that there was a level of role reversal with what is the norm in romance novels. Sean was all in much sooner and understood that and vocalized it to Lucy. She was more of the one scared of the emotions and what it would mean. Overall super happy I finally picked up this second book in the series and can't wait to start the next one.
