Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum
5.0
Aah, I adored this book! I haven't read such a satisfying in a long time. Julie Buxbaum was recommended to me after Kasie West's books, and while it was more contemporary, I loved it nonetheless!! It was everything I could have asked for in a contemporary romance, it had the right amount of romance, mystery, humor, and sweetness with a balance of the little darker stuff like grief.
The novel follows Jessie
One thing I really liked was how grief was woven into the plot. Usually, I don't think much of the dead mom trope but I love how it was handled in this book probably because the author experienced it herself. Grief is an ongoing process and I like how Jessie acknowledged that it sucked that her mom was dead and accepted by the end that it was never going to be ok.
It is harder to express why I like this book so much but I guess to sum it up it mixes something like grief and still manages to be so light-hearted and sweet..
