It's extremely rare that I finish a book in a day these days-other than when I'm on holiday. It may have been due to fortuitous circumstances that let me do so, or the fact that I just couldn't put this book down. Why this one over others, I'm not even really sure... for me, I guess it had the right mix of believable characters (an incredibly chilling description of how a relationship descends into abuse) and wanting to know what happens to them.
