Their War by Invi Wright
i’m really disappointed. the major plot of the women being rescued is none existent. i wasn’t really not into it by end of the last book bec i felt like charlie knew nothing about politics and just did whatever. when she improved in that regard i was like okay we’ll see some cool fighting but no. we don’t see the action just inner monologues of what’s happening.
the pregnancy storyline was also weird one year of knowing each other and two dates with two out of three of you and y’all want kids? idk for ppl who have long life spans they are sure in a hurry. also after the cheating in book two i needed charlie to grovel more. if one of the guys did what she did she would never forgive them. hell we’ve seen her get mad at them for less.
i will say this had the one the best mm relationships in rh. there was still that weird thing about putting mfc above the guys thing rh do but the guys actually had very sweet moments excluding charlie. it felt like whole relation. i appreciate that. something about mm in rh always gives me the ick. it’s always like “ without mfc i don’t want to be touched by you and i will not acknowledge our togetherness” vibe to it and it’s like huh?
i enjoyed this this series. more in the beginning than the end but i had fun.
