Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas

Okay, just finished this and...so much just happened I don't even know.

I did enjoy this book. It was more of the slow burning, building up to something type book which I didn't mind because I liked everything we got from it.

Celaena's in a new country so we have all that to explore with her and learn about. And there's magic. Magic's still alive and kicking over there. We got to delve into more of her past which I was really excited about. And them all as children...I just want a story about them all as adorable rugrats. Which speaking of children and the past, we met Aedion and I love him. I love him, I love him. I want them to reunite and tear the world apart. I'm down for that journey. 100%. I was worried near the end that he was going to get killed off and I would have been sooooooo pissed. I was prepared for the angriest status of my life.

I liked the other characters too like Rowan obviously. Manon took me a while to warm up to her cause I was just like "Who is this? What is happening? Is this relevant? I still don't know who this is..." but by the end I was like yeah what's she up to and was rooting for her.

Something I would have liked more of would be Dorian. Idk...I feel like I haven't gotten to see much from him. We were building a nice relationship in book one but I feel like he's been too busy and involved in other things to make time for me. LOL, that's how I feel our relationship goes. I'd just like to read more about him figuring stuff out.

And I still love Chaol. He's my precious, enough said.

Now to just wait for Queen of Shadows to arrive in the mail.....
