Ciara Smyth is such a delightful writer. Her characters are so funny and fully realised. While I didn’t enjoy this quite as much as Not My Problem, it truly is an excellent read. The focus of the book is on Saoirse’s relationships with everyone around her; her interactions with Oliver were such highlights because they were always so funny, and her feelings for Ruby were so sweet. Saoirse’s inner monologue is honest and hilarious, and you can’t help loving her. I appreciated the discussion around choosing to have kids as well as the fact that this ends with a happy for now, which is so realistic for a YA romance.
