This is just one of those books that sticks with you days, if not weeks, after reading. It was beautifully written and poignant. The story was a little less straightforward than I typically read, but the book isn't so much about the story as it is about the message and metaphor behind the story. The story is about something bigger and deeper than just the words printed on the page. It doesn't shy away from the darker parts of the metaphor either. Rivers Solomon just became a new "must read" author for me.
